Napoli start issuing fines

The President placed his squad in a training retreat the week before the international break, but a mutiny against the decision and trouble after the Champions League match against RB Salzburg has left the Partenopei’s players on the receiving end of sanctions.

Allan is the player who is hit the hardest, even if Article 11 of a collective agreement between players states that a fine “cannot exceed 25 percent of the gross monthly salary”.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Brazil midfielder has been ordered to pay back half of his monthly salary.

The sanctions - as per Corriere dello Sport - are proportionate to the seriousness of each individual breach of conduct.

Il Corriere adds how the fines range from €225,000 to €22,000, totalling €2,5m. The sanction list has been sent to the squad and now the players are preparing their defences.
