Napoli thrashed Sassuolo 6-1

Napoli was proud after they successfully secured victory over Sassuolo 6-1 on Saturday to consolidate third place in Serie A. This win helped them get back on track after a terrible run. Dries Mertens scored two goals, while the other goals were shot by Kalidou Koulibaly, Victor Osimhen, Hirving Lozano, and Amir Rrahmani. In just 21 minutes, Napoli was seen at 4-0, adding a lot of pressure on their rivals. Maxime Lopez then scored a late consolation for Sassuolo.

It was seen that Napoli was battling with the Milan clubs for the Serie A title until recently but two defeats and a draw. After the win over Sassuolo, Napoli has now left four points below league leader AC Milan and four points above Juventus. Amir Rrahmani got Napoli’s sixth, just 10 minutes from time.
