Napoli's draw with Inter keeps the Serie A championship chase open

In a highly anticipated matchup between the top two teams in Serie A, league leaders Inter Milan conceded a goal to championship rivals Napoli in the 87th minute, drawing 1-1. Before Saturday night's match at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples, Simone Inzaghi's team, which is still one point clear of Napoli (57), was already without midfielders Carlos Augusto and Nicola Zalewski, defender Matteo Darmian, and first-choice goalkeeper Yann Sommer. Seven minutes after Inzaghi replaced defender Alessandro Bastoni, Inter conceded a goal. Fortunately, this was a tactical adjustment rather than another injury concern when Philip Billing, a Danish midfielder, scored the game-winning goal for Napoli.

After a 0-0 draw with second-from-bottom Venezia, Atalanta lost the opportunity to climb closer to the top and now sits third on 55 points, three points behind champions Inter.
