This is something straight out of the twilight zone, some science fiction stuff that boggles the mind just by reading the statement. But anyone who wants to support his club tends to help out in any form possible, Pavel Nedved does this by giving his full support to Gonzalo Higuain who is currently playing for Juventus as the main striker. The Old Lady paid €93 million for his services, today he needs all the love he can get and who better than a club legend?
Talking to Tuttosport, Nedved said: "It is never easy for a champion to find your feet at a new club. There are plenty of examples of players who struggled at first and then exploded into life. We are very happy with Higuain. He is the best striker in the world. His commitment is exemplary. We have made a good decision to sign him and time will prove us right."
Nedved suddenly forgets there are at least five other centre-forwards who are considered literally better than Higuain. We even are bold enough to determine that Gonzalo is not even amongst the ten best central strikers in European football. But hey, Higuain may end up shutting us all up and winning all trophies with Juventus this season, only time will tell.
