Newcastle keeping high hopes for Joe Willock

With just a week to go for the new season of Premier League to kick off, The Magpies are still waiting for a reply from the Gunners, on their talk over Joe Willock’s transfer. Newcastle hasn’t made any new signings in this summer transfer window. According to some sources, the 21-year-old is opting a move to North-East England. Magpies are highly interested in Willock but they will have to look for alternatives as the season will be commencing soon.

The youngsters’ last season on loan with the Magpies turned out to be a major success. He hit the nets 8 times, of which, 7 goals were scored in his last 7 games. Willock’s transfer is still a doubt. He was present in Arsenal’s pre-season games and made appearances in a few matches. Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta, in a recent interview mentioned Willock as an Arsenal player. Newcastle might have to think of an alternative if this deal ends up to be unsuccessful.
