Newcastle secures 1-0 victory over Southampton

Southampton lost 0-1 at St. Mary's Stadium in their own home while  Newcastle won admirably thanks to their players' commanding performance.

Joelinton stunned the crowd in the 73rd minute, giving Newcastle the advantage with a low cross from Alexander Isak. Southampton tied the score in the 77th minute, but VAR disallowed the goal. The final buzzer sounded with a 0-1 victory for Newcastle United.

Newcastle performed well, but there is still one more leg to go. Nathan Jones, the coach of Southampton, said, "It is a game of margins, we are so close to being a good side. We have to start taking our chances and stop conceding silly goals.”  Will Southampton have a chance to continue the winning streak in the return match? We'll have to wait and see!
