Newcastle United has a plan in place for Lewis

Eddie Howe has handed another chance to Jamal Lewis to prove his worth to the side as he recovers from an injury ridden few months. Last December the player suffered from a hamstring injury while playing at Anfield. Later on due to that, he did not feature in the Premier League squad for the second half of the season. He even went through surgery for a groin issue.

Even still the 24-year-old left-back has not been seen on the field and was missing from the pre-season squad as well. Joining the side from Norwich City in 2019, Lewis still holds a lot of potential and Howe still believes in the player. Howe also shared an injury update for goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, who had sprained his wrist while training. While Fede Fernandez and Jamal Lewis are making their way back to fitness.
