Lens and Nice played out a 0-0 draw in what was a very tight match. Whilst Nice started well, the away side's rhythm kicked in in the first half, even after some clever passing and a rebound to Florian Sotoca. The Frenchman was deemed offside, however Salis Abdul Samed nearly completed a brilliant solo run after regaining possession in midfield. Pépé dominated throughout the first half with his sharp runs .
Nicolas Pépé was dangerous in behind the Lens defence on the right with his dribbling, and he could have scored on several occasions had the ball not been ruled out for a foul on Kevin Danso. The Aiglons exploited Lens' offensive threat, while creating additional opportunities of their own to win the game. Neither side could score and they will share the points.
