Nice continued their title challenge campaign by adding one more win to their dominating tally after they trounced Nantes in the French league at home with 2-1. Midfielder Khephren Thuram gave the team a second-half winner to help the team move second on the table with a three-point lead over third-placed Marseille. OM though does enjoy a two-game advantage over Nice and are all set to take on Lille on Sunday.
The 20-year-old midfielder was assisted by forward Amine Gouiri at the 55th minute to take his tally to nine league goals this season. Denmark striker Kasper Dolberg was the first one to break the deadlock at the 20th minute with a spot-kick following the handball from defender Abdoulaye Sylla, later Andrei Girotto leveled the score with a free-kick before Thuram’s winner set the tide in Nice’s favor.
