The Italian international is still bound by the same contract that he agreed to back in 2021's fall. However, Inter has been attempting to get Barella a fresh, long-term contract extension. If there was any indication that Barella is available, the best teams in Europe would be vying for his signing. Manchester United and Arsenal courted Barella to join the Premier League last summer. Longtime supporters also include Liverpool and Manchester City. Over the past few months, officials of Barella and Inter have had discussions. And from all indications, the talks have proceeded without incident. Barella wants to continue at Inter, no doubt about that.
