Even though they possessed the most of the ball, the strikers' wastefulness was evident once more as Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and Rasmus Hojlund wasted excellent opportunities.

United may have moved up to sixth place in the Premier League standings, but they are now only the 13th best goal scorers in the league due to their abysmal goal scoring record. The injured Danish striker has lit up the Champions League but has yet to score in the Premier League, and Rashford, who led the team in scoring the previous season, has only scored once so far this year. After being linked to experienced striker Mehdi Taremi, Lecce attacker Nikola Krstovic has suddenly surfaced as an unexpected January target, according Calciomercato. Since joining Serie A in the summer, the Montenegrin has made an impression, scoring four goals in the league. Inter Milan has also been connected to the striker.
