Nottingham Forest into FA Cup quarter-finals

Nottingham Forest will face Brighton & Hove Albion in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after Nuno Espirito Santo’s side won a penalty shoot-out over Ipswich Town at City Ground on Monday night.

A second-half goal from George Hirst put Premier League strugglers Ipswich ahead, before a quarter of an hour later Ryan Yates headed home to draw level. A tense extra-time period failed to see any goals scored, before Forest and Ipswich players stepped up for the dreaded shoot-out.

After scoring their first four spot-kicks, Ipswich finally flinched with their fifth when Jack Taylor saw his effort saved.
