Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace have both "expressed an interest" in Marseille winger Ismaïla Sarr. Marseille had considered including Ismaïla Sarr in a trade for Filip Jörgensen, the goalkeeper, but that plan has now been shelved. But the French team is eager to let him go, and with Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace showing interest, his future could lie in the Premier League. The player is eager as well to get to England after having a rough spell in France.
Although a loan with a buyout option would be preferable to Marseille in order to remove the player's salaries off the books, they would prefer a transfer for the player in order to recover the €13 million they paid to recruit him last summer. That would probably work for both Premier League teams, and since Crystal Palace reportedly made an offer last night, they anticipate more from them as well as Nottingham Forest in the days and weeks to come.
