After losing back-to-back games to Everton and Aston Villa, Forest recovered spectacularly at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. They had a solid start with to goals from Elliot Anderson and top scorer Chris Wood, and they held firm to climb to third place in the Premier League standings despite a late goal from Richarlison. The competition to qualify for the Champions League is still fierce with five games left. Forest and seventh-place Aston Villa are currently separated by just three points.
In the fifth minute, Anderson gave Forest the lead when Spurs keeper Guglielmo Vicario mishandled his deflected shot from a corner. Shortly after, Chris Wood's goal was disallowed for offside, but he made amends in the 16th minute by heading home Anthony Elanga's cross to double the advantage for the visitors.
