Nottingham Forest finally put an end to the flurry of five consecutive defeats in the Premier League on Monday night as they grabbed a point from the home clash against Aston Villa. Steve Cooper’s squad were foraging to bounce back stronger from what was a disheartening 4-0 loss against Leicester City in their last game. They dived into the game aware of the fact that a tie or victory would place them above the Foxes in the Premier League table.
Forest snatched the lead against Steven Gerrard’s men when Emmanuel Dennis shot in a free kick in the 15th minute. But the Reds were huddled back by an Ashley Young stroke just seven minutes later. With the match concluding in a 1-1 draw, Forest moved off the bottom of the table and halted upon Premier League losses.
