Sommer has left Bayern Munich after just seven months to join Inter Milan. The goalkeeper will play in Serie A in the 2023/24 season. He bid farewell to the German club and the fans on social media.
"An exciting journey comes to an end. I would like to express my gratitude to everybody Bayern, my teammates, the coaches, the staff and everybody else, including the amazing fans, who made my time at this great club an experience I will never forget! Thank you all and I wish you continued success." he wrote on Instagram.
According to several reports in Italy, Simone Inzaghi's side have reportedly paid between six and eight million euros for his transfer. The 34-year-old has signed a three-year contract, meaning he will play in an Inter shirt until 30th June 2026.
