

Olympique Lyonnais won against RC Lens in an entertaining clash at the Groupama Stadium on Saturday. Karl Toko-Ekambi scored the opener from the spot in the 25th minute when Bruno Guiamarães went down in the area and a penalty was awarded to Lyon. Jonathan Clauss scored a goal to bring Lens level soon after but his effort was disallowed for offside. Olympique Lyon doubled the lead before the first half. Toko-Ekambi’s shot was parried by Jean-Louis Leca and Houssem Aouar, who had started the crucial move by driving towards goal from the left, Houssem Aouar scored in the 41st minute.
Lens fought back in the second half and put everything in their attempts to get back, they managed to reduce the lead. Gaël Kakuta set up Arnaud Kalimuendo, who steer the ball towards goal and scored a goal for Lens in the 61st minute but Lyon held on to a one-goal lead.
