Ousmane Dembele’s brace helps PSG win 4-1

Paris Saint-Germain defeated Rennes 4-1 on the road in Ligue 1 on Saturday, using a significantly altered squad, thanks to two goals from Ousmane Dembele as they prepared for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 matchup against Liverpool. Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos had PSG 2-0 up in Brittany before Lilian Brassier drew one back for Rennes, but Dembele netted twice in stoppage time to secure the victory for the visitors.

The win allowed the Ligue 1 leaders to preserve their unblemished record domestically this season. PSG is now prepping for their second leg in the Champions League after they lost the first leg against Liverpool 1-0 despite dominating the game. The player who kicked off his career at Rennes has scored a total of 28 goals in all competitions this season. Since mid-December, he has scored 23 goals in 18 appearances.
