Paris Saint-Germain survived a 1-1 home draw against Rennes

Kylian Mbappé remained silent as Paris Saint-Germain, the front-runner in the French championship, survived a 1-1 home draw against Rennes on Sunday thanks to a penalty kick from substitute Gonçalo Ramos seven minutes into stoppage time. Mbappé made his home debut after announcing to PSG that he will be leaving the team at the end of the current campaign. Fans should begin adjusting to life without PSG's all-time record-setting 244-goal scorer, according to coach Luis Enrique.

Midway through the second half, Ramos replaced league-leading scorer Kylian Mbappé, who had 21 goals. Ramos scored from the penalty spot after goalie Steve Mandanda was judged to have fouled him. Rennes took the lead in the 33rd minute thanks to a superb solo strike from Amine Gouiri, which Mandanda made two brilliant stops on.
