Born in Turin to Italian and Ethiopian parents, the 19-year-old star holds dual citizenship. He advanced through the Torino youth system's several levels to the senior squad, where he made his debut against Atalanta in August. As a box-to-box midfielder, Ciammaglichella played for Italy at the Under-15, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, and Under-20 levels.

Although he appears to be struggling in Serie A, The Guardian rated him one of the top players born in 2005 in 2022. Paris Saint-Germain has dispatched scouts to see him play and is getting ready to make an offer in January, according to Tuttosport and Calciomercato.com. Although there is a chance to extend until June 2026, his present deal with Toro only lasts until the end of the current campaign.
