Milan coach appeared before the press after the 3-1 win over Real Madrid in the fourth round of the Champions League. The coach praised his striker, Alvaro Morata, not only for his goal, but also for his work to generate chances. He pointed out that the captain of the Spanish national team “deserves” his “appreciation”.
“Alvaro has been excellent not only for the goal: for how he works, the way he has to create opportunities, to create doubts in the opponent.... Alvaro deserves our appreciation for everything he does”, he said at the press conference.
Fonseca was proud of his team's win at the Santiago Bernabeu, although he doubted that they would be able to transfer it to Serie A because they face teams with a different style.
“I have to be honest. This type of match is completely different from the one we have in Serie A,” he valued.
