Pedro thinks trust has been key to Chelsea's revival

At the start of the season, Chelsea and Antonio Conte had a tremendous task of taking the club out of obscurity once more, they desperately needed to make a statement about their imminent comeback and eventually they did. But the many problems they had were related to a lack of confidence all the players had in the squad, Antonio Conte managed to help each and every player get back to their old self and regain that confidence in the span of a few months only.

There are many examples of players who were doomed to never succeed, Diego Costa is one of them and got back to his best form. Another one of them who struggled since he arrived is Pedro, but Conte managed to take the best out of him and today he is considered among the best players in the squad. Talking to the Daily Telegraph, Pedro describes his revival: "In my career, I have worked with really good managers, like Pep Guardiola and Vicente del Bosque. But one thing that has really surprised me about Antonio is how he managed to turn around the team so quickly.

"He put trust and belief in all of the players and then we started winning matches. Quite easily, he just turned things around. He put the trust, the belief in all of us that we could win matches, that we could win the league. It's just like everything turned really quickly. We started to go really well, our trust started growing and everything became really positive. We've got a lot of trust and that really helps. One of the key things is the trust we have with everybody. Everybody trusts each other and it means we work really well together as a team. When we get a chance we take it and that makes the team feel more relaxed and play with more confidence."
