Pelé not responding to chemotherapy

Pele is in The Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo. According to the latest medical report, the ex-player has a respiratory problem, but he is stable.

'Folha' have released new details about his health. Pele would be reportedly in intensive care, as he is no longer responding to the chemotherapy which he was receiving for the colon cancer which was operated on for September last year.

According to this source, Pele supposedly has metastasis in his intestine, lung and liver. He is not reportedly receiving chemotherapy anymore, either, but is under intensive care to "alleviate the pain and the lack of oxygen without having to go through invasive therapy", 'Folha' explained.

Pele arrived at hospital with generalised swelling, and compromised air intake. His state of health is thought to be perilous.
