It looks like the Manchester United outcast would stay at Old Trafford for a while now after Phil Jones missed out on a move to Bordeaux despite their interest as transfer deadline day approaches fast. Jones was linked to a move to Ligue 1 club, and hoped to make the deal happen with the club this January. The defender was handed his first appearance by United only recently in two years' time during the United’s 3-1 win over Burnley at the start of the year.
The 29-year-old has fallen down the pecking order after the arrival of big names and the comeback of Raphael Varane and club captain Harry Maguire after a small spell of injuries. His move away from the club whenever it happens would mark an end to 11 years at Old Trafford, during which he also capped 27 times by the Three Lions.
