A stalwart midfield player for La Liga powerhouse Barcelona is getting ready to leave the team. Mundo Deportivo claims that Sergi Roberto is the player in question, and they support their claim.
Naturally, Roberto, a versatile midfielder, has had his future cast doubt recently. The 32-year-old's contract extension seemed almost guaranteed, but Barca's continuous financial difficulties really threw doubt on that. For his part, Roberto has always prioritized the Blaugrana, the team he has played his whole career with, until lately. That seems, however, to have altered in the present.
