Players don't think Simeone will leave Atletico

After the loss against Real Madrid which is the second final Atletico get a defeat against Los Blancos in two years, Diego Pablo Simeone said that he wanted to think about his future in the club. This was an obvious hint at a possible exit, but when some of the players were questioned about these statements, they refused to think that Simeone is actually thinking about leaving the club.

When told that Simeone was thinking about going somewhere else in the near future, Koke said: "That I don't know, I just found out from you. Whatever he does, we will respect his decision. But I think he'll be here in the club with us." Tiago was a little bit more blunt about it, he said: "I have no doubt."

Finally, Diego Godin also wanted to talk about how difficult it is to take this massive blow: "It's a tough blow to take but we will pick ourselves up. We always do. We're very proud of what we've done this year. That's football, it happens, so we look for another opportunity. This is a winning group. I'm so proud of my team-mates, we're going to keep fighting for our objectives and those of the club, the things that we dream of."
