Being a 19 year old in football, and talented as well may come as a burden at certain points. Not being mature enough tends to come as a handicap when you are a professional player that all you want is to show your talent to the world, you become eager with proving yourself to everybody. But during this time at very narrow matches and even in the face of defeat, lads like Dele Alli are prone to make mistakes that may end up affecting the team.
During the last Tottenham match against West Bromwich that the weren't able to get past a draw, Alli was involved in a dispute with West Brom player Claudio Yacob. The Englishman appears to his Yacob with his closed fist but the referees did not see it. Despite this, the FA did see the footage and decided to charge the player with improper conduct. There is still no sentence but he could be facing a three-match suspension which would leave him out of the remaining games ofthe Premier League.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino wanted to point out Alli's importance to the team instead of his behavior: "Dele after Fiorentina was fantastic. Sometimes, opponents, they find him, try to provoke him. They know that Dele has a strong character and may react. But I didn't see it. I don't know. We'll see it on the TV, nothing to comment now, but Dele has a strong character."
About their personal struggle against Leicester City for the lead and the differences between both side, Pochettino added: "We are very different. We have very different styles. If you want to compare Leicester with us, we're completely different. They play for counter-attacks, we're different. We play for positions in the opposing half, we try to score goals and I think that we're very different. Leicester deserve the position that they're in, it's fully deserved."
