Tottenham Hotspur got a pass against Liverpool in a match where they could've easily lost by a large number of goals. James Milner's goal from the spot put the Reds ahead at White Hart Lane, but by that point in the match, Tottenham had already saved a large number of chances created by Liverpool. The momentary Reds' victory lasted a while, but Rose's header got the match leveled and rescued a point in a difficult situation.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino knows how difficult this game was, he is aware his side should've lost the match, an even bigger reason to give them credit for what they accomplished. He told Sky Sports that: "I am very pleased for the performance. Playing against Liverpool always is difficult. They have very good players. I am happy to see a great game. I think it was a passionate game that was high tempo."
About the injured players, Pochettino added: "After 15 minutes with Walker we had some problems and had to change a little bit the way we want to play. But we are happy. I think first half they deserved more but second half we deserved more."
Goal scorer Rose wasn't happy with the end result, but he believes it was fair: "It's difficult, a draw is probably a fair result. I took the ball down well. I didn't want to get forward too much today because the pace of Mane is frightening. To be honest I think I shanked my shot."
