PSG overpowered defending champion Lille, 5-1

Lionel Messi put on one of his best performances for Paris Saint-Germain recently on Sunday as the leaders took down the defending champions Lille with a 5-1 scoreline. PSG took advantage of Lille’s bad goalkeeping skills as they put on a 13 point lead in the French League. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner proved his worth with his second goal of the season in the 37th minute as they shrugged off their last season’s goal shyness against Lille.

The team’s goalkeeper Ivo Grbic made a blunder in the 10th minute itself letting Pereira get the first knock. Former PSG winger Hatem Ben Arfa made his debut for Lille while Central defender Sven Botman levelled the playing field at the 27th minute. Kylian Mbappe’s curler came from 20 meters away in the second half while Pereira scored his second goal of the day and Kimpembe completed the list.
