Rafinha wanted hat-trick and defends low form teammates

FC Barcelona was a hurricane against Deportivo this Saturday, they got a convincing victory and got Leo Messi back in action after a month out of competition due to a muscular injury. All three players on the attack gave a good performance, but there was a player who accompanied them and took most of the credit for the performance. That man is Rafinha, the young Brazil international got a brace but came close to scoring a hat-trick.

However, as any Barcelona player would do, Rafinha tought about the collective first. He also tried to motivate players who are not currently going through an ideal time in the club, elements such as Aleix Vidal or Paco Alcacer. Rafinha believes that better times will come for both of them in the future, they just need to keep working hard and have self-confidence.

He told reporters that: "It did cross my mind to finish off the hat-trick, naturally after getting the first two goals. It was a very important three points after losing to Celta Vigo. Now we're able to play with three or four defenders. [Vidal] is a player that strives to improve every day, he's an essential part of our squad. When [Alcacer] gets one he will score many goals, because he's a natural finisher with a nose for goal. We have every confidence in him."
