Raul is convinced there is life after Ronaldo for Real Madrid

With a timeless player such as Cristiano Ronaldo, it's complicated to put a team above him even if the club we are talking about is Real Madrid: the most successful side in football history. After the player leaves, thinking about replacing him truly is a challenge that not many people would like to take. The same thing will happen after Lionel Messi decides to call it quits with FC Barcelona, players like them are unique in their own right and already are considered the two best players in football history.

But for another club legend such as Raul Gonzalez Blanco, Real Madrid is greater than the name of any player in the world regardless of their name or impact. He is convinced that after Ronaldo leaves, Los Blancos won't have a hard time replacing him or winning more titles after that happens. But we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, for now let us keep enjoying the incredible player that is this Portuguese monster.

Talking to Diario AS, Raul said this about Ronaldo: "There is definitely life after Ronaldo. What Cristiano has been doing is huge, but Madrid have a great team with players who can still offer more. The important things is that they keep working as a unit. Cristiano has been the top scorer for the last seven seasons or so. Nobody expected him to perform like this, he has an incredible desire to meet his objectives and keep working. I have a good relationship with him. And there is a mutual admiration. It's a shame that we played together for just one year, but it was an important year and we had a connection."
