RB Leipzig Mercilessly Thrashed Bochum by 4-0

RB Leipzig played their match against Bochum to prepare for Wednesday's Champions League encounter against Real Madrid. Former Chelsea striker Timo Werner and Bochum forward Christopher Nkunku both scored twice as the team in the Bundesliga's basement finished the match on a 15th-minute lead over the team sitting at its lowest point in decades. Thomas Letsch, the New Leipzig boss, his first job as head coach, won and converted a penalty kick after eight minutes.

Werner scored his 100th goal for the club to extend Leipzig's lead to four in the first half after Nkunku converted a penalty kick. Nkunku had the chance to score a second penalty but fired a shot wide just before the end of the day. Marco Rose has led the club since March, although the previous 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund was followed by two away losses -- 2-0 against Real Madrid in the Champions League and 3-0 to Borussia Moenchengladbach in the Bundesliga.
