Real Madrid 0-0 Real Sociedad

A series of saves by goalkeeper Alex Remiro allowed Real Madrid to leave San Sebastian with a point despite the visitors' remarkable defence holding them to only seven goal opportunities. Vinicius Jr. missed two close-range opportunities, one in each half, and Remiro stopped both of them. The goalkeeper also successfully blocked shots from Rodrygo, Toni Kroos, and Karim Benzema. Remiro said, "I'm pleased with the point achieved and with my own effort.

After defeating Girona 1-0 on Saturday, Barcelona climbed up to 47 points overall, five points clear of Real Madrid in second position. Real Sociedad, which has played one more game than the top two, is third with 39 points. Real Madrid, spurred on by their supporters on a chilly evening in the Spanish capital, sprinted after Real Sociedad from the start in an effort to cut the distance with Barcelona.
