Real Madrid beat Getafe 2-0

After putting his head on Lucas Vazquez's cross early on, Joselu opened the score and added his team's second goal after the interval. The on-loan Espanyol forward was found on the outside of the penalty box by a clever sweeping play, and he easily finished it. Madrid leads Girona, the surprise gift, by two points.

Joselu's brace helped Real Madrid defeat Getafe with ease and take the lead in La Liga. After 13 minutes, Vinicius Junior got Real Madrid's first meaningful opportunity of the game. When the Brazilian was released with a long ball over the top, goalie David Soria faced him on one, but Vini's effort on goal was equaled by the 30-year-old keeper. After fifteen minutes, Madrid took a well-earned lead after turning the screw early. To give Los Blancos the lead, Lucas Vazquez sent a fantastic cross from the right side, and Joselu was there to force his header into the ground and beyond Soria.
