Real Madrid beats Granada 1-0

Carlo Ancelotti's side had a hard time on the field, without the likes of Karim Benzema and Vinicius in the lineup. But Real overcame their absence and found a winner with Marco Asensio. The leaders moved six points clear at the top of the table and shrugged off Granada’s efforts to come back to win by 1-0. Asensio broke the deadlock at the 74th minute with his trademark left-footed curler in the bottom corner.

This was the midfielder’s sixth goal of the season as he beat Granada keeper Luis Maximiano and kept the team in the lead for the rest of the match. Real did come close to scoring in the first half with Carlos Neva almost scoring one past his own keeper. Toni Kroos, Rodrygo, Isco and Asensio all almost scored as well making up for Benzema’s absence.
