This summer, the board of La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid is seriously considering letting go of attacking star Vinícius Jr. as stated by Mundo Deportivo, who offered an analysis of the scenario on Monday. Of course, wide player Vinícius just finished a really lacklustre 2024–2025 campaign. The Real Madrid supporters frequently criticised the Brazilian international, who was overshadowed by new colleague Kylian Mbappé.
And it's clear that these problems weren't overlooked behind the scenes in the Spanish capital. For a while now, Los Blancos and Vinícius and his group have been negotiating the parameters of a new contract. The 24-year-old's demand for wage parity with the team's top earner, the previously mentioned Mbappé, is impeding progress, though. With his performance level having left so much to be desired over the last 12 months, Florentino Pérez and co. have no intention of affording as much to Vinícius at this moment in time.
