Real Madrid continues to be flawless by beating Espanyol 2-0

With goals from Kylian Mbappe and Eder Militao in each half, Real Madrid defeated Espanyol 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, giving their rivals their first loss of the season and preserving their perfect start to the La Liga season. As a consequence, Real Madrid leads the league with 15 points after five games, five points ahead of Barcelona and Espanyol. The defending champions still have a game in hand before they play Getafe on Sunday.

With a spectacular goal from 30 meters out in the 22nd minute, centerback Militao gave Espanyol keeper Marko Dmitrovic no chance as his right-footed attempt sailed into the top-left corner. With the help of Vinicius Jr., Mbappe increased their advantage just after the half by curling a crisp shot from the outside of the box into the bottom-left corner.
