Real Madrid could finally smile again after last week's unexpected defeat against Wolfsburg in the Champions League. The club managed by Zinedine Zidane only needed 39 minutes to sentence the match against a weak Eibar side that did nothing to prevent their defeat. Colombian James Rodriguez got a chance to show his best version in order to be one of Zidane's important players for the upcoming return Champions League match, he didn't disappoint.
James stepped up to bend a super free-kick into the back of the net from the edge of the box on the 5th minute of the match. But that's not all James did, he sacrificed himself in defense with many runs and zone coverages that seemed to convince the Bernabeu that was jeering him at first. But this was Ronaldo's day, he would be the beacon of light for Los Blancos as he served two goals and scored one himself by making a tremendous attacking trio with home products Lucas Vazquez and Jese Rodriguez who got a chance from Zidane to shine.
The two following goals came in a flash on the 18th and 19th minute as Ronaldo served Vazquez and vice versa to put Madrid on a 3-0 lead before the 20th minute. The great top class performance would end with a Jese goal on the 39th minute after a Ronaldo assist from inside the box. It was an easy day's work for Los Blancos with Cristiano Ronaldo right in the middle of the whole deal. During the second half, the local squad got a bit more relaxed and wasn't able to get more goals.
Right back Danilo was sentenced as the main responsible for last week's Champions League defeat at Wolfsburg as he was jeered in the second half after he took Daniel Carvajal's place. After a much needed win, Real Madrid can now focus in turning the negative result against Wolfsburg around, they have the whole outcome of the season on the line and it won't be easy.
