Real Madrid injury blow

Real Madrid has disclosed that Toni Kroos will miss Saturday's match against Arandina because of an ankle injury, and Lucas Vazquez will miss time owing to a hamstring ailment. Vazquez has a thigh ailment, according to a medical report released by the team on Friday afternoon. He was scheduled to start this weekend's Copa del Rey matchup against Arandina.

"After testing today, our player Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid Medical Services was diagnosed with a right thigh injury to his semitendinosus muscle. On the official Real Madrid website, a statement stated, "His progress will be monitored." He would also miss the La Liga match against Almeria on January 21 due to a three-week absence, and he may make a comeback against Las Palmas on January 28. On Wednesday, Real Madrid defeated Mallorca 1-0, but Kroos injured his ankle. As a result, he is not in the team to play Arandina.
