Fabrizio Romano has responded strongly to rumours that Real Madrid is already plotting to buy Trent Alexander-Arnold in 2026 and may allow the player to rejoin Man City in the Premier League.
After leaving boyhood club Liverpool at the end of his contract, the 26-year-old moved to the Bernabeu over the summer, confirming what many had suspected for several months. Some of the fans who had once adored Alexander-Arnold were upset when he left on a free transfer after rising through the ranks of his hometown team to become one of the top full-backs in the world. Only ten games into his time at the Bernabeu, things seem to have drastically changed, even if the Reds did eventually earn €10 million from his departure after Real decided they required the player for their Club World Cup campaign.
