Real Madrid suffer a shocking loss to Espanyol

Real Madrid faces a big defeat as well as a potential injury blow facing Espanyol on the other side at the RCDE Stadium on Sunday. Raul de Tomas and Aleix Vidal scored twice against Los Blancos handing them their first defeat of the season. Karim Benzema did retaliate once giving Real Madrid a chance to fight back but Carlo Ancelotti’s men could not force a win.

Eduardo Camavinga in the latter half was pulled from the field and replaced by Rodrygo after the player suffered a blow to the left foot. The young midfielder would undergo an examination to understand the extent of his injury before the international break and after that Real Madrid would take on Athletic Club in just under two weeks.
