Sky Germany reports that Yan Couto's move from Manchester City to Borussia Dortmund has been made permanent
Back in the summer, Borussia Dortmund announced the signing of Yan Couto on an initial loan deal, stating that the move would be made permanent if "certain sporting criteria" were met.
According to Sky Germany, the purchase option has now been activated, and Couto has been given a contract until 2029. The report claims that Dortmund have paid a total of €24 million to sign the right-back from City.
Since joining Dortmund, Couto has made seven appearances and one assist.
In an interview with Sky Germany, Couto expressed his excitement about playing for Die Schwarzgelben and how he has viewed his time at the club so far: “There are many Brazilians who have played here. I think ten or eleven. I am one of them. I want to become a legend here too.”
