On Sunday, River Plate secured its 38th title of Argentine champion, beating Estudiantes de La Plata 3-1 at home, in the 25th round of the national league.

Two days from the end of the championship, River Plate secured the title, following with nine points of advantage over Talleres Córdoba, which is second.

With 85,000 spectators at the Monumental stadium, in Buenos Aires, River Plate reached the break leading by 3-0, with goals from Lucas Beltran, Nicolas De la Cruz, and Mauro Mendez, with the visiting team scoring by Mauro Mendez, at 67 minutes.

Despite having already secured the title, the team coached by Martin Demichelis will only receive the trophy in the last round, when they return to play at home, against Racing Club.
