Robin Le Normand's return marks a boost for Atletico Madrid

Although Atletico Madrid's defense faltered in October, they have now regained some solidity. In the Spanish capital, however, the news of defender Robin Le Normand's progressing recuperation will be welcomed with relief. Le Normand hasn't played since sustaining a head injury during the Madrid derby on September 29. Los Colchoneros is taking no chances with the 28-year-old and is bringing him back gradually, even though scans have shown no problems. For the first time since his head knock, Le Normand participated in some of the group's training on Wednesday.

The Franco-Spanish defender, who just completed a €34.5 million transfer to Atletico, is at the top of his game. He won Euro 2024 as La Roja's starting defense. Prior to his injury, he was playing well for Diego Simeone, and everyone is expecting to see him return when the time is appropriate.
