Roma Dramatic Win at Lecce 1-0

Roma maintained their amazing 2025 success by defeating Serie A underdogs Lecce 1-0 Wednesday despite playing late. Claudio Ranieri played a dejected role as his team squandered a lot of chances until Artem Dovbyk scored ten minutes from the end to give them their third victory against the Via del Mare team in the previous four games.

Roma recorded their seventh straight league victory to keep within striking distance of fourth-place Bologna, and Dovbyk's eleventh Serie A goal of the season was sufficient for three points in Apulia. Before the last eight rounds, the two teams are, in fact, separated by just four points. However, Roma displayed a wasteful finishing against Lecce, with just one of their 17 shots on goal ending behind Wladimiro Falcone’s back. Roma will likely have to be more clinical to make it eight Serie A wins on the trot when they meet Juventus at home next weekend.
