Donyell Malen has hit the ground running at Roma. The Dutch striker joined the Serie A side on loan in January in search of a more important role than he had at Aston Villa, something he has achieved in just five matches.
The Dutch striker is making headlines for the 'Giallorossi', for whom he has scored five goals in his first five games, much to the delight of the Italian team's management.
According to press, Roma are planning to sign the Dutch striker on a permanent basis, regardless of the mandatory purchase clause in the loan agreement, which would only be activated if the Serie A side reached the UCL or UEL and Malen made 50% of appearances until June.
If the 'Giallorossi' want to land Malen on a permanent basis, Aston Villa will receive a fee of €25 million plus the €2 million they already received for the loan.
