Roma's 4-0 victory over last-place Monza

Roma's 4-0 victory over last-place Monza on Monday increased the Lombardy club's already severe relegation worries and extended their winning streak in Serie A to ten games. Claudio Ranieri, the coach of Roma, will be ecstatic by the victory because he has seen his team have the greatest league run of 2025.

Since the beginning of the year, Roma has taken 20 of a possible 24 points, a record that has been supported by the league's top defence during that time. Alexis Saelemaekers gave the home team the lead in the tenth minute. The Belgian winger cut inside from the right and curled a beautiful shot into the far corner of the net, but three teammates queued up expecting a cross. Uzbek striker Eldor Shomurodov doubled its lead. Matías Soulé Malvano twisted and turned inside the box and Shomurodov headed home unmarked.
