Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero is close to renewing his contract with Boca Juniors, according to 'Ole'. The goalkeeper will extend his contract with the Argentine side until December 2025.
Romero's continuity was put in doubt due to the delay in meetings to discuss the renewal. Moreover, the cross-statement between club president Juan Roman Riquelme and the player did not invite optimism.
Riquelme omitted the name of the goalkeeper when talking about the key players of the last Copa Libertadores won by Boca Juniors and Romero was not sure of his continuity. Finally, president and player have negotiated without intermediaries and have managed to reach an agreement.
