Lionel Messi and Ángel di María may return to Rosario, the Argentine city where they were born... but not to play football, too bad for Newell's Old Boys and Rosario Central, clubs where they took their first steps in the world of football, respectively.
In an interview given to the Argentine newspaper Olé, the president of the Federal Chamber, Aníbal Pineda, made public his intention to join both newly crowned world champions in a campaign inserted in the fight against drugs.
"Messi and Di María would advertise to discourage drug consumption. They are both from Rosario, and I have no doubt that they would join something like that, which would help to discourage consumption, especially among younger people", he began.
"A half-minute message from each person would be important. In terms of publicity, a campaign to reduce the consumption of narcotics and advise against consumption would be important", he continued.
