Speaking in an interview with La Repubblica via TMW, Beppe Riso, an influential agent in the Italian football atmosphere talked about the future and former prospects of several of his clients. What stood out from his words was the name of Nicolo Rovella whom he claimed to have declined offers from numerous Premier League clubs due to his commitment to Lazio. The agent said: “He had more than one offer, but I won’t say the teams. It doesn’t surprise me, but it won’t be easy to move him: with Lotito it’s tough and he loves Lazio madly”
From his words, it seems like Riso attempted a transfer for him but nothing concrete took place due to the intervention of Lazio president Claudio Lotito and the player’s love for the side.
Rovella has been on loan from Juventus since last season and has been a regular for the team.
